Chiapas 2011

I was fortunate enough to be invited on the Chiapas, Mexico Medical Mission 2011 trip. Prior to going on the trip, I had developed a picture in my mind of what I thought it would be like. That image didn’t even come close to capturing the true essence of the trip. The mission completely exceeded my expectations and was far more eye-opening, moving, and rewarding than I could have imagined.

It is difficult for most of us to understand the changes and impact that these medical missions have made in the lives of the people who were helped. But, what I can grasp of it warms my heart even now. There is something in my soul that has been forever changed.
